Carotid artery screening in asymptomatic individuals of different ethnic origins

Kontext a cĂle: NÄkterĂĄ chronickĂĄ onemocnÄnĂ jako hypertenze, diabetes mellitus (DM), hypercholesterolemie kuĹĂĄctvĂ jsou jiĹž delĹĄĂ dobu povaĹžovĂĄna za rizikovĂŠ faktory vzniku stenĂłz karotickĂ˝ch tepen. ZatĂm vĹĄak nebyl publikovĂĄn ŞådnĂ˝ rozsĂĄhlejĹĄĂ vĂ˝zkum zamÄĹenĂ˝ na otĂĄzku zúŞenĂ tepen u rĹŻznĂ˝ch etnickĂ˝ch skupin. CĂlem tĂŠto studie je zhodnotit tento jev pacientĹŻ etnik. Metody: Do naĹĄĂ prospektivnĂ studie, kterĂĄ se provĂĄdÄla v Istanbulu dobÄ mezi bĹeznem zĂĄĹĂm 2018, bylo zaĹazeno 246 (61,2 %) rodilĂ˝ch TurkĹŻ 153 (39,8 syrskĂ˝ch imigrantĹŻ. VĹĄech 399 ĂşÄastnĂkĹŻ ve vÄku od 50 do 65 let byl nich diagnostikovĂĄn alespoĹ jeden rizikovĂ˝ faktor podobÄ hyperlipidemie, DM, obezity, tĂĹživĂŠ socioekonomickĂŠ situace kuĹĂĄctvĂ. Pacienti absolvovali vyĹĄetĹenĂ celĂŠho karotickĂŠho povodĂ dopplerovskĂ˝m ultrazvukem. VĂ˝sledky: PrĹŻmÄrnĂ˝ vÄk 54,2 ± 7,2 roku; Ĺžen studii 50,4 %. NejÄastÄjĹĄĂm rizikovĂ˝m faktorem obou skupinĂĄch byla hypertenze (41,1 % vs. 47,7 %; p = 0,596). VĂce kuĹĂĄkĹŻ rodilĂ˝mi Turky (p 0,022). PĹĂtomnost DM i stresu z podobnĂĄ > 0,05).
